Oil & Gas Industry

Since 2002 F.P. Engineering has been supplying oil and gas equipment to the industry in Southern Africa. We offer or customer a full design to suit their required demands. On site workshops are designed to suit the location can be assembled with tools to travel and stay with projects. All items are cleared at Harbour. All storage silo are designed and manufactured with a third party – AIA - inspected to the required code of manufacture. All off shore required items are DNV 2.7 – 1 certified.

1800 bbl OBM Silos – March 2015

Another two 1800 bbl / 288 m3 storage tanks for the Oil & Gas industry in Angola.
The units were transported to Harbour via abnormal loads.

Mi SWACO – Gabon – December 2014

Mi SWACO placed the following order for its operations in Port Gentil, Gabon. The2560 cuft silos and the 350 cuft cutting bottle were made to ASME VIII Division 1;2013 to the U stamp classification. Full AIA and design was included in these packages.

Equipment ordered was:

An Order from Ml Swaco

An Order from MI Swaco – A Schlumberger Company - for its operations in Angola.

All the units where designed to an API 650 design code with third party inspections.

The tanks paint specification was for painting inside and outside.

The vertical storage tanks were loaded on abnormal load trailers and transported to Harbour for shipping to Angola.

The following was designed, manufactured, painted and delivered to Harbour:

8 x 1250 bbl storage tanks with a capacity of 200 m 3 , complete with access cat ladders, hand railing and platforms

Cement batching plant

Halliburton Overseas Limited placed an order for their operation in Angola: A cement batching plant.

All units were designed and built to ASME VIII Division 1 2013 with full 3rd party inspections. The complete project was delivered to harbour for shipping (FOB):

2 x 30 bags dust collectors

2 x 410 cuft cutting bottles with access platform & hopper

2 x 1500 cuft vertical tanks with Cardinal scales

2x 2560 cuft vertical tanks with Cardinal scales

Storage Tanks

Five 1800 bbl storage tanks with a capacity of 287 m 3 , complete with access cat ladders, hand railing and platforms,  were designed & manufactured for MI Swaco – A Schlumberger Company - for its operations in Angola.

The storage tanks are 5.2 m in diameter x 19.4m long with a weight of 27 tons each.

The storage tanks where designed to an API 650 design code with third party inspections.

The tanks paint specification was for painting inside and outside.

The vertical storage tanks were loaded on abnormal load trailers and transported to Harbour for shipping to Angola.

Vertical Cement storage tanks

An order was placed by Halliburton – Mozambique, for two x 2560 cuft Vertical Cement storage tanks. Both units were supplied with Cardinal scales .

The Vertical cement silos were designed to AMSE VIII, Div 1 to a working pressure of 65 Psi.

Both units were transported to harbour by abnormal load for shipping to Mozambique.


Bulk Cement silos & cutting bottle

Baker Huges International – BHI – place an order for five (5) 3000 cuft Bulk Storage Cement Silos and a 440 Cuft cutting bottle for their Southern African operations. All the vessels in question were made from carbon steel with BHI corrosion protection specifications. The units were designed and manufactured to ASME VIII Dev 1 (2010) code with the Inspection Authority (AIA) in attendance at all critical points. The Bulk Storage silos were fitted with intake and discharge lines complete with valve control and victaulic coupling. Dummy load cell were installed on the required legs for scale installation once on location.





220 cuft Cutting Table

A 220 cuft Cutting bottle / cutting table was fabricated for Halliburton in Uganda.
The unit was fabricated from GR70 material with a design code being ASME VIII Division 1.
The unit was built on a skid with a support frame which supported the work table. Removable handrail were included in the scope of supply.
The unit was monitored and signed off by an independent 3rd party prior to departure.


Base Oil Tanks for Southern Africa

The following project was to supply 4 x 1250 BBL Base Oil Tanks for Southern Africa.
The units are destined for Soyo Port, Angola
The Base Oil Tanks were designed and fabricated to API 650 code, with dimensions of 5.5m diameter x 15m long with a weight of 24 tons. Each unit was equipped with two cat ladders and platform which will be bolted on the side once at location and hand railing for the top of the tank. All four units were transported to harbour for clearing and offloading with abnormal load permits being required.
The paint specification was a grit blast with intermediate coat and final coat in the clients colours






Dewatering units & centrifugal frames

An order was places to supply 2 custom built dewatering units with 2 centrifugal frame that fitted on top of the dewatering plants.
These items were exported to Uganda
The dewatering units consisted of the following:

  • Electrical control panel
  • Two Milton Roy mixers
  • Two Milton Roy dosing pumps
  • One flocculent Milton Roy pump
  • Work benches, shelving, plug points and mixing tank
  • Lighting, extracting fan and a Air conditioner unit

The centrifugal frames were made to suit the dewatering units with detachable walk ways and hand railing. This was done to make the unit portable when moving locations


Waste Skips

The follow six waste skips , with a capacity of 2.8 Cubic meters or 5000 kg were made for a based supplier to the oil rigs on the east & west coast of Africa.
All six units were supplied with cargo nets and shackles.





Oil storage

Three small oil storage tanks were made for the a based supplier to the oil rigs on the east & west coast of Africa. All items were made from 316 stainless steel material to specified drawing & design.

Oil & Gas show – 2012

For the first time F.P. Engineering took part in the 5th Sub -Saharan Oil & Gas show at the Cape Town ICC, South Africa, from the 13 – 15 March 2012. The company was represented by Michael Potter at stand number 12.

Bulk Plant – Luanda, Angola

The following order was placed by Halliburton Oversees limited and our American partners – Wilco. The Bulk plant was assembled in Luanda Harbour , Angola.

The project consisted of the equipment:

  • Dust collectors 6 off
  • Cutting Tanks 2 off
  • Waste Tank 1 off
  • Holding tanks – 1500 4 off
  • Holding tanks – 3500 4 off
  • Scales Pipes, fittings &
  • Valves
  • One custom built workshop for site work.




Luanda Tank Farm

An order was place by Halliburton Oversees Limited, Angola for 12 Liquid Storage tanks – 15 000bbl / 230 m3 with base frames complete with cat ladders and hand railing, 2 mud tanks with connecting pipe work and valves. The project was sent from to Luanda Harbour in Angola. The fabrication of all the units took 3 months to complete, ready for shipping. All items were manufactured to API 650 code. All material was 300WA

 




Halliburton

Twelve mild steel tank, made for export to the Republic of Anglo, were made in 2004. The tanks were 4.6m in diameter and 11 meteres high, with a total volume of 180m3. Inside each tank there was a blower system.The tanks were made in batches of four, then transported to Harbour as abnormal loads, prior to being shipped.
